After a long flight and a long train journey there is nothing better than a good, relaxing hotel which is just what we found ANA Crowne Plaza to be. The hotel is only 3 or 4 minutes walk from Akita station. Take the west exit and follow the covered walkway straight ahead and down an escalator. High up on the wall of a department store you will see a sign directing you to the main entrance of the hotel. Go up a short slope walk along the side of the store, turn the corner and you are there. Check in was very welcoming and we were able to get the key to our room with no problem. The room itself on a high floor of the hotel was spacious, clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well, but as far as I could see the TV only had Japanese channels. We had booked a club level room which gave us access to the lounge which until 1930 served generous canapés wine, beer spirits and a large selection of sake as well as soft drinks. We enjoyed both the food and drink which were top quality and retired to our room early for a much needed sleep. The bed was large and comfortable. The next morning we had a good breakfast again in the lounge and then checked out ready for the next part of our trip. An excellent stay and I would certainly recommend a Club Level room if funds allow.

We’re leave our luggage at the hotel, when we comeback to check in, all our belonging that we left at the reception are already in the room. That a plus service. I really high recommended. If I gave a chance to comeback to Akita I will stay here again for sure!!!

Excellent location which is just opposite the Akita station. The room is sizeable for triple sharing. The staff is friendly and provided excellent service. We delivered our luggage and they stored prior to our arrival. They even delivered to our room before we check in. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping malls, and within walking distance to attractions.

We got a good deal on this place for a one night stay so it was much nicer than many of the other places we stayed in Japan. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly. The location was very central and close to the train station.

Its a bit above average for price, but the service, room and bathroom are also above average Japan. International electrical socket, so no need for adapter. Breakfast is also good, but again price is also above average. Bed is very comfortable.
